Description
MASSAPEQUA, NY — Firefighters responded to a house fire at an unoccupied home in Massapequa on Monday, and put out the fire before it spread.
The fire began around 6:30 p.m. at a home on Croyden Drive. The fire caused substantial damage to the inside of the home.
Investigators from the Nassau County Fire Marshal's office and the police department's Arson/Bomb Squad determined that the fire started from an electrical short in the living room. It was deemed a non-criminal fire.
No one was injured in the blaze.
