Description
WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NY — A sign of the slow-moving summer construction season is upon us.
The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) said single and double lane closures are expected along I-684 southbound between Exit 2 (State Route 120) in North Castle and Exit 1 (Interstate 297) in Harrison for sign inspections. The closures will start Wednesday, May 11 and continue through Thursday, May 12.
The work will take place between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. daily, weather permitting.
The NYSDOT is reminding drivers to slow down and drive responsibly in work zones. Remember, fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in a driver's license suspension.
