TAMPA, FL — On Monday, Tampa police charged a man with two counts of DUI manslaughter and two counts of DUI with serious bodily injury following a crash April 13 on the Courtney Campbell Causeway. Traffic homicide investigators say Joshua Roelofs, 33, was driving at an estimated 100 mph in his 2017 Nissan GT-R east on the Courtney Campbell Causeway around 3:42 a.m. April 13 when he rear-ended a 2005 Kia Sorrento with four people inside, causing the SUV to roll over, ejecting all of the passengers. None of the passengers in the Kia Sorrento were wearing seatbelts. See related story: 2 Dead, 2 Hospitalized Following Rollover Crash On Courtney Campbell When Tampa and Clearwater police arrived at the scene, they attempted to give medical aid to the victims but two 44-year-old men died at the scene and a 36-year-old man and a 33-year-old woman were taken to the hospital in critical condition. Roelofs was not injured. Video from Roelofs' dash camera captured the crash that closed the Courtney Campbell Causeway for hours during the morning commute.
