Come to the Storytelling Corner of the EQT Children's Theater Festival for a collaborative and creative storytime with Miss Cassidy! Join local entertainer and educator, Miss Cassidy, for a collaborative storytelling session in the Oasis. Guided by Miss Cassidy, participants will work together to create their own stories! Whether adding suggestions to our storytelling jar, creating sounds to accompany our stories, or creating their own story, learners and families of all ages will activate their individual imaginations and collaborative creativity. This event is free and open to the public! Miss Cassidy is an educator, performer, and kid's content creator. Known for her high energy and friendly, inviting style, Miss Cassidy teaches lessons live on Facebook covering subjects ranging from theater and art to history and science, cooking, and even emotional awareness. She has over 11,000 Facebook followers and was voted one of the Top 10 Facebook Pages by the City Paper's Best of Pittsburgh Reader Poll. As an educator, Miss Cassidy has taught K-12th grade in brick and mortar schools, cyber schools, and performance art schools. In addition, she has performed at children's birthday parties both as herself and your favorite fairy tale characters. Through these endeavors, she truly found her passion lies in educating and encouraging kids of all ages to discover and cultivate their talents and confidence and to step out of their comfort zone to find their inner weirdos.
