Get acquainted with a variety of leafy greens and learn ways to incorporate them into your daily diet for better health. Leafy greens are locally abundant in the spring and early summer and offer a number of health benefits, if you eat them regularly. Leafy greens range from arugula to Swiss chard, bok choy to tatsoi, and lettuces to cabbages. In this lively 1 hour class, Erin Harner, Integrative Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, will acquaint you with a variety of leafy greens and demonstrate several different ways to incorporate them into your daily diet. Participants will receive 5 delicious recipes for leafy greens. FREE to sign-up! Class will take place on the back patio dining area at GreenStar's 770 Cascadilla St. store. About the Instructor Erin Harner is an Integrative Registered Dietitian Nutritionist. She melds the principles of functional medicine with culinary nutrition to teach engaging cooking demos, classes, and workshops on a variety of topics. Also, she works with clients to help them take back their health by confidently cooking nourishing meals for themselves and their families. Erin deeply believes that everything in our bodies is connected and the food we eat matters. When she's not in the kitchen, you'll find Erin in her garden, at the farmer's market or co-op, hiking a local trail, or riding her bike. She lives in Ithaca, NY with her husband and three boys.
