MERCER COUNTY, NJ — The second annual Robbinsville Pride is scheduled to take place on Saturday, June 4, at PJ's Pancake House & Tavern, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. The Pride festival brings together the local LGBTQ+ community and allies to celebrate and recognize the impact of advocates locally and beyond. It also looks toward reaffirming its commitment to standing in solidarity with the LGBTQ+ community. The event is being sponsored by the Robbinsville Democratic Club. This year's event will include a short program by speakers from Robbinsville High School's Genders and Sexualities Alliance, followed by music, celebration, and food and beverages. The event is for all ages, but attendees must be 21 or older to drink. "Though the Robbinsville Democratic Club is sponsoring and coordinating Robbinsville Pride, it is not a political event, and we welcome everyone in and around town to join us in celebrating and supporting our local LGBTQ+ community," said Amanda Gruber, vice president of the Robbinsville Democratic Club, and chair of the Pride Event Committee. "It is more important than ever that our LGBTQ+ neighbors, especially our children, know they are supported and loved in Robbinsville." The event is being funded by local and corporate philanthropy. The Pride Event Committee is currently fundraising and seeking sponsors who wish to contribute. For more information, contact [email protected] or visit www.robbinsvilledemocraticclub.org.
