Join us for an exciting weekend of events in downtown Montgomery, AL! Special performances by Ceelo Green and Taylor Hicks! Don't Miss It! *****IMPORTANT*****This is a multi-day event. Weekend passes are available.TD Legacy Group returns to the Montgomery Riverfront Amphitheater for the “We Thank You Concert” this time expanding to an entire weekend. The “We Thank You Concert”, which began during last year's pandemic, started as a way of giving back to teachers, healthcare workers, first responders, and military personnel. The concert featured Grammy-award winning R&B artist, Chrisette Michele, Huntsville’s Emily Joseph Band, and Montgomery’s very own Souled Out Groove. This year the entertainment group has plans to go bigger with expanding the concert to an entire weekend taking place from May 27 to May 29, 2022. Local businesses will be providing discounts throughout the weekend for members of these groups. Below you will find a list of the programming: Friday, May 27, 2022100 Black Men Roundtable Luncheon - 100 Black Men of Greater Montgomery and TD Legacy Presents A Conversation on Gun Violence. This Luncheon will consist of a panel discussion with some of the most influential business minds and thought leaders in Montgomery, Alabama and surrounding areas. Registration and invite required. Moderator: Dr. Derryn Moten, ASU Professor of History Guest Speaker: Joshua Byrd, Chairman of the Anti-Gun Violence Committee,100 Black Men of Atlanta Special Speaker: Tommy Dortch, Jr., Chairman of National 100 Black Men of America, Inc. Cost: FREE Time: 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM Location: Central Restaurant 129 Coosa St. Montgomery, AL 36104 Civics and Cigars - Participate in engaging conversation while listening to music and enjoying a cigar. This event is free to attend. Registration is required. Some establishments will offer special discounts to essential workers. Free to the public. We invite all near and far to enjoy this day of fun and fellowship. Food trucks, music, and more. Featuring Ceelo Green, Taylor Hicks, and more. You don't want to miss this event! Bring blankets, stadium chairs, umbrellas, sunscreen, etc. No outside food or coolers allow. Food trucks will be onsite. This is a ticketed event. Outside food and drinks is strictly prohibited. No coolers. You may bring water. You may not bring alcohol. Alcohol will be served at the Red Bluff Bar. Please bring money to purchase food and beverages. *A FREE child ticket is available for children 12 years of age and under. (See the option for child ticket purchase) No child admission without someone 18 years of age or older. Children 12 and under must have adult supervision at all times.
