Join us as we crown this year's Royals of Pride and celebrate former Royals with an evening of pageantry and pride! The Pride Festival is excited to present this year's Royals of Pride Pageant, whose theme is:Rising from the AshesAccording to myth, the Phoenix was a majestic bird-like creature that lived in Paradise---a land of beauty and unimaginable perfection. In time, the bird began to feel the effects of old age and though it could never die, it knew that it had to be reborn. Rested in its nest, a spark from the sun god ignited the nest and with it, the Phoenix. All that was left was a tiny worm among the smoldering ashes. After three days, from that worm came a new Phoenix---rising from the ashes to begin yet another cycle. After a two-year absence, the Pride Festival of Central PA rises from the ashes with invigorated hope and a renewed sense of purpose. After a pandemic that forced the Pride Festival to temporarily shut down, we find that our Central PA paradise continues to be a vibrantly exciting place to live, work, play, and love; complete with beautiful and creative individuals who are PROUD of their cultural diversity and awareness of the gender identities that make up the LGBTQ+ community and its allies.
