FATBURGER/BUFFALO EXPRESS #1266 8097 Sudley Rd Manassas, VA 20109 Assistant General Manager Full-Time Position As the Assistant General Manager, you will be the key support element to the General Manager. The Assistant General Manager is the voice of leadership and direction in the absence of the General Manager and provides guidance to shift supervisors and team members while on shift. Must be able to provide a positive, open, and guest service friendly environment. What you will do: Works to inform the General Manager of staffing needs. Assist General Manager to properly schedule shifts for optimum employee coverage. Keeps track of overtime and as directed schedules employees in a fair manner. Responsible for opening or closing restaurant during the designated hours of operation Understand our Guest-Obsessed culture and do whatever it takes to create a positive and memorable guest experience. Manage ongoing training of Shift Supervisors and Team Members. Works with the shift supervisors to fill complete the shift readiness reports. Works with the General Manager, to identify level star performing employees. Ensures that all employees are orientated properly, and that employee file documentation is present as necessary. Assists the General Manager in optimizing profitability through control of food cost, paper cost, labor, operating, and cleaning supplies and interaction with purveyors. Maintain company standards of quality, cooking times and presentation of food, service, restaurant cleanliness and sanitation, safety, and staff job satisfaction. Handle guests’ complaints by listening to their concerns and resolving issues PLUS ONE to ensure overall guest satisfaction. Comply with all State and Federal labor laws at all times. This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations. Other responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. REQUIREMENTS Must be able to serve as a listed ABC Manager and must be 21 years of age per VA ABC regulations. 4+ years of experience in a shift supervisory role or Assistant General Manager experience is preferred. Strong customer service skills. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Effective communicator. Great problem-solver. Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment. Must have or be able to obtain Food Protection Manager Certification within 30 days of hire. Ability to travel 3 weeks for official training.
