Here are the top three stories today in Charleston: A 21-year-old Charleston man has been indicted by a federal grand jury for distributing narcotics that caused the death of at least one person. Hasib Muqsit-Rivers' indictment is the result of an investigation performed by the Drug Enforcement Administration in partnership with the Charleston Police Department. The investigation centers around the distribution of fentanyl to one woman caught on a home surveillance camera that resulted in an overdose.(Live 5 News WCSC)The North Charleston Police Department is performing an internal investigation into how an officer hit a man moments after a hit-and-run incident on Dorchester Road. The department is reviewing officer Thelma Lewis' role in the death of Romeile Codrey. Lewis will reportedly remain on duty while the investigation is performed. (Charleston Post Courier)An alligator was chased on Daniel Island by the Charleston Police Department. The incident occurred on Monday after an alligator was taking a stroll through the area.
