Description
PATCHOGUE, NY — A Bohemia man was arrested in Patchogue on Thursday after Suffolk police said he raped two 13-year-old girls.
Brendan Sullivan, 20, used Snapchat to meet the girls and had sexual contact with them on separate occasions in March and August, police said. He was arrested in May on charges related to child pornography, police said. During a follow-up investigation of that case, detectives found that Sullivan had inappropriate contact with the two girls, police said.
He was arrested in a parking lot on Medford Avenue at 3 p.m. and charged with two counts of second-degree rape and three counts of endangering the welfare of a child, police said. In addition, he was charged with first-degree criminal contempt for violating a protective order he received during the May arrest by providing a vape to one of the victims, police said.
Sullivan was held overnight at the Sixth Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned Friday at First District Court in Central Islip.
The investigation is continuing. Detectives are asking anyone with information to contact the Computer Crimes Unit at 631-852-6279 or call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
