Press release from the Urbandale Community School District: May 6, 2022 In celebration of Teacher Appreciation Week, every Valerius (at Jensen) Elementary student shared their gratitude by hand delivering a flower to their teacher in order to fill a vase in their classroom. Courtesy of the Valerius Parent Teacher Organization (PTO), every student was given a flower as they entered the building. Once they got to their classroom, each student handed a flower to their teacher. One flower, turned into two, three, and before they knew it an entire vase was filled with flowers. Each flower being unique, special, and beautiful—just like every child. What a creative and kind gesture to share during Teacher Appreciation Week.
