Press release from the City of Iowa City: May 5, 2022 The Iowa City Fire Department responded to a report of a structure fire at 536 Olive St. at 7:09 a.m. Wednesday, May 4, 2022. Firefighters arrived on scene at 7:14 a.m. and encountered a fire in the home's detached garage that spread into the attic space. The fire was brought under control within 10 minutes. Damage to the structure is estimated at $10,000. There were no reported injuries and the fire remains under investigation. This press release was produced by the City of Iowa City.
