Man Sought In Armed Sexual Assault Pattern: Philadelphia Police

PHILADELPHIA — Police in Philadelphia are looking for the suspect in connection with a series of armed sexual assaults that have occurred recently. The first incident was at 5 a.m. on March 15. A 35-year-old woman was walking in the area of Whitaker and Erie avenues. Police said a man in a black car drove the woman to a remote area, where he then pulled a handgun out and sexually assaulted her. Then at about 5:15 a.m. on April 5, a 28-year-old woman was leaving a store on the 3500 block of Kensington Avenue when a man in a dark Dodge Charger with its license plate covered approached her. Police said he forced the woman into his car, drove her to the area of 4000 Orchard Street, and sexually assaulted her. The man let the woman out of the vehicle on Torresdale Avenue, police said. Then, at about 1 a.m. on April 21, a 29-year-old woman was in the area of Kensington Avenue and Huntingdon Street when a man in a charcoal gray Dodge Charger four-door sedan, 2016 to 2020 with tinted windows and distinct rims, approached her and offered a ride. Police said she got into the vehicle, and he drove her to the 2600 block of Kensington Avenue where he pulled out a gun, forced her into the back seat, and sexually assaulted her. He stole her iPhone 11 then dropped her off on Broad Street, police said. In all incidents, the man was described as a black man in his 20s or 30s with a heavy build, about 210 to 233 pounds, and standing 5 feet 8 inches tall.
