TIGARD, OR — The two men shot and killed inside the Embassy Suites Hotel early Friday morning were brothers from Portland, authorities said Monday. Tigard police said 37-year-old Andrew Randle and 38-year-old Gerald Randle were found dead at the hotel. The state medical examiner said both died from gunshot wounds. Police arrived at the hotel, at Washington Square, around 1:30 a.m. after calls to 911 reported a disturbance with a weapon, according to police. Police said they believe that the shooter or shooters fled the scene. Detectives have been reviewing surveillance video and talking with witnesses, friends and family of the Randles, trying to piece together what happened. Tigard police are working with the Washington County Sheriff's Major Crimes Team on the investigation. The two homicides were the first of the year in Tigard and only the seventh and eighth since 2017.
