Press release from the City of Tulsa:
May 6, 2022
City of Tulsa Animal Welfare (TAW) is taking proactive measures to stop the spread of canine distemper virus (CDV).
Starting Friday, May 6, TAW will be closed indefinitely while it works to treat animals and prevent further spread.

During this time, TAW will continue with:
TAW Operations
All dogs adopted from TAW have been vaccinated for CDV, but the vaccine is not immediately effective. Adopters should follow up with their personal veterinarian to receive any necessary boosters.
