LIBERTYVILLE, IL — A beer brewed by a Libertyville brewery has been ranked among the best beers in the world. The World Beer Cup, which dubs itself as the most prestigious beer competition in the world, announced its 2022 winners last week. Among the award-winning beers was a session India pale ale brewed by Mickey Finn's Brewery in Libertyville. The beer, Moon Rocks, received a silver medal in the session India pale ale category. Known as "the Olympics of beer," the beer competition is held during the Craft Brewers Conference and BrewExpo America. More than 200 "highly qualified beer professionals" are tasked with judging beers and doling out awards in 111 different categories. The competition is held once every two years.
