Parkside Management Services, a senior housing management company located in Skokie, is seeking a Staff Accountant to: Maintain Accounting System to meet the needs of communities,Maintain accounts receivable records including billing.Generate resident invoices, manages resident rent rolls, and rent increases.Maintain accounts payable for communities and office.Investigate, follow-up and resolve issues with A/P and A/R.Process weekly check run.Help with payroll including calculation of hours and accurate recording of leave time,Complete Bank reconciliation and journal entries,Reconcile credit card,Prepare employee reimbursements,Issue, process and file 1099s on an annual basis,Assist with the preparation of financial statement and reports,Assist in budget and forecasting processes and analysis,Be responsible for benefit administration and benefit processing for the community. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum of 3 years experience in general accounting, bookkeeping and general ledger analysisExperience with accounting software, Yardi preferred and payroll platformsStrong computer skills in MS Excel, Word and PowerPointStrong aptitude for learning new computer programs.Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.Exceptionally detail-oriented and organized.Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment.Passionate about learning and contributing to the team. Commitment to continuous improvement and excellent customer service skill.Senior Housing experience preferred, but not required. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS In order to be successful in this role you should have a degree from an accredited college or university, in accounting or business-related field. The candidate should have considerable knowledge of current general accounting practices and experience applying those to operating procedures.
