SOUTH ST. PAUL, MN — The 17-year-old who was killed in a shooting in South St. Paul on Sunday was identified by family and friends as Anthony Skelley, a junior at Gateway to College, according to a report by The St. Paul Pioneer Press. Teen Killed In South Saint Paul Shooting Sunday: Police A GoFundMe was set up for Skelley's mother. "Anthony touched so many with his beautiful and joyful soul," Trina Zieman, the fundraiser's organizer, said. "Anyone who knew him will tell you the same." Just before 11 p.m. Sunday, police were called to Conver Avenue on a report of shots fired, authorities said. When officers arrived, they found Skelley laying in the road with multiple gunshot wounds in his upper torso, according to police. Despite emergency medical aid, he was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said. The South St. Paul Police Department said it is working with the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and the Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office to investigate the shooting. No additional information is available at this time, police said.
