Press release from the Champaign Unit 4 School District: WILL-TV, in collaboration with PBS KIDS, honored two Unit 4 teachers with the Early Childhood Champions Award. Early Childhood Champions are committed, talented champions who work with young children from infants to third graders. Champions are passionate about their work, enthusiastic about their professional growth and active contributors to a community of dynamic early educators. Unit 4 Schools Sydni Good was presented with the Emerging Professional award and Rachel Kinkelaar was presented with the Professional of the Year award. Last year's Professional of the Year, Kate Carlson, was also recognized. All award recipients teach Pre-K at Champaign Early Childhood Center.
