On the morning of Sunday, May 8th, Sheriff's Deputies and the Vista Fire Department responded to a traffic collision involving a vehicle and a motorcyclist at the intersection of W. Vista Way and Emerald Drive in the city of Vista.
A motorcyclist was traveling northbound on Emerald Drive and collided with a vehicle crossing westbound on West Vista Way. The unidentified man was transported to Palomar Medical Center via ambulance and is currently undergoing surgery for his injuries. The driver of the vehicle was not injured.
At this time, it is unknown if alcohol and/or drugs were a factor in the collision.
The Vista Traffic Division is handling the investigation.
