Description

Press release from the Tuscaloosa County Government: May 9, 2022 Are you looking for a rewarding career where you can make a difference in the lives of students in your community? The Tuscaloosa County School System is actively seeking bus drivers and bus aides, with immediate positions available for hire! To help you gain the certification for driving a bus within our system, we provide all hands-on training needed, so that you can successfully earn your Class B CDL with passenger and school bus endorsements, alongside your State of Alabama School Bus Operator's Certificate. Offering competitive pay, excellent insurance/retirement benefits, as well as opportunities to earn extra income above your salary, these positions work well with other work schedules or as a solid part-time job. The positions also provide the great benefit of aligning with the TCSS school schedule, so that you are off when your children are not in school. Drivers and aides enjoy holidays, summers, weekends, and nights off. To help you get started with the process, we are hosting orientation meetings on Tuesday, May 10, at 6:30 pm. The same information will be provided at both meeting locations. At these meetings, we will provide you with the resources to start the certification process, and answer any questions you may have, so that you can make a well-informed decision about joining our TCSS Transportation Team. The meetings will last approximately one hour. Orientation Meeting Locations Brookwood High School Lecture Hall, 12250 George Richmond Pkwy, BrookwoodNorthport Bus Shop, 3700 68th Avenue, Northport If you are not interested in becoming a driver or aide, please pass this information on to someone who may be interested!
