PARK SLOPE, BROOKLYN — Two Brooklyn arts groups are teaming up to host an artisan fair pop-up just in time for Mother's Day. The May Day Pop Up planned by Old Stone House and Handmade In Brooklyn Collective is looking for vendors. They're taking applications for artisans wanting to sell their hand-crafted items at the May 2 event in Washington Park. "This celebration of the handmade is a perfect time to shop for something special for Mother's Day; and with graduation right around the corner, everyone will be on the hunt for amazing artisanal items just like yours!" a release states. Old Stone House is a combination of arts center and historical society centered in the selfsame building in Park Slope. The organization also oversees Washington Park, where they plan to host the fair alongside Handmade In Brooklyn Collective, a group of freelance women's artists. The fair will run from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. and also feature live music and the park's annual plant sale. Vendors for the pop-up are due by March 23 with a $20 application fee.
