Hedgeapple Farm, located in Buckeystown, is looking for a farm hand to join our team ASAP. If you have some farm experience, can drive a stick shift, operate some farm machinery, have transportation, are willing to work long hours during hay season, will show up on-time for work, and would like to get involved in the production of beef and beef cattle, then contact me immediately. We offer competitive hourly pay and the position is available immediately. Hedgeapple Farm is a 400 acre, vertically-integrated, forage-based, beef cattle enterprise including an on-farm retail market where all the beef produced on the farm is sold to the public. The farm maintains both spring and fall-calving cow herds with all the calves being grazed through market weight on pasture and stored forages. The farm includes one-mile of frontage on the Monocacy River (leading into the Potomac River and the Chesapeake Bay). Conservation stewardship, regenerative grazing practices, and integrated land/environmental management form the backbone of the Hedgeapple farming system.
