Description
Hi folks! My mom lives near North San Ysidro (you take the Rowe/Pecos exit on the freeway and then drive a good long way). She has reached the limit of what she’s able to do by herself in her fire mitigation efforts and needs help. She’s asking for someone strong, with a chainsaw (and good at using it) and a truck (for hauling the debris), to help her. Tomorrow, maybe Thursday also if the wind cooperates and the fire’s not too close.
We’ll pay $30/hour, cash or Venmo or PayPal. $50 total for the drive each way (it’s about an hour and a half, the last 30-45 minutes on a very dicey semi-road. You need 4-w-d.). Please only reply if you’re actually willing to do this. It’s hard work, you’ll be going non-stop, and you’ll be helping save someone’s house. Hopefully.
(If you’d rather trade instead of cash, she has a phenomenal collection of organic cotton fabrics and sustainable yarns. That’s part of what she’s trying to keep safe from the fire.)
I’ll check for replies and messages at ten tonight and around 8 in the morning, so if you could reply before then that would be great. Thanks!
