Description
Hello, We have a 9 mos old sweet female Blue Heeler puppy and looking to find her forever home. We have been fostering her for 4 mos with our other cattle dog. She was not being taken care of properly in her former situation, tied up all day and night in someone’s yard. She has been mostly on lots of wooded acreage being free to be off leash, though has also been doing well being trained on leash when necessary. She is very affectionate, smart, energetic and sweet. She has been socialized with other dogs and also cats, even a small parrot. She knows sit, come, speak and we are working on stay and off when she’s excited and wants to jump up on people. She really needs to go to someone who will bond with her, keep her as part of the family, continue her training and truly loves her for who she is. She would do well with kind and conscious older children once she bonds, though has some fear initially about children in general. Her name is Suki, which means beloved. She is up to date on her vaccinations, including for rattlesnake bites. Since she is used to being outdoors to romp and roam and also very well cared for being indoors at night and for naps inside during the day, it would be ideal to find a similar situation. We will be very careful about interviewing anyone with interest, as we want to ensure she is going to the best possible stable home. She’s sensitive and needs someone who has a soft hand and a patient loving consistency. She loves to run along side bike rides and walkabouts off leash. Her breed (half Australian Shepard and half Australian Cattle Dog) is designed for working on a ranch and not one to be solely indoors as she naturally needs a lot of exercise. She has been content with toys and bones to chew on and does not chew on personal items, although when a friend came to babysit for the weekend and left their computer cord on the floor, she did get to it. Please send me details about yourself and lifestyle and give a clear picture of why you are interested and what kind of home you would be giving her. Thank you and be well!
