We are looking for a skilled Maintenance worker to perform upkeep tasks such as repairs and replacement. You will be responsible for applying basic fixes to a tenant occupied home. Being reliable with a keen eye for detail is the first step to getting this job. The ideal candidate will have experience and solid maintenance / handyman service. You must possess manual dexterity and physical stamina. This position requires you to have a vehicle, tools and working knowledge of small home repairs. Job sites are all over Houston and surrounding areas. This job requires lots of driving from one property to another. This job is a 1099 sub contractor position. Responsibilities Perform light plumbing work ( change a sink faucet, unclog toilet, replace toilet, etc) Perform minor fixes such as repairing broken locks, filling gaps on walls etc. Check electrical wiring to identify issues Install appliances. Minor drywall/paint fixes.. Conduct maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems (e.g. ventilation) Check functionality of safety systems (e.g. fire alarm) Collaborate with workers and other professionals during renovations Report to management with before and after photos Skills Proven experiencer with other similar position Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems Experience using hand and electrical tools Ability to read technical manuals and drawings Very good communication and interpersonal skills Physical stamina and dexterity High school diploma or equivalent Able to use smart phone/tablet Must have vehicle and Insurance. Job Types: Full-time, Contract Salary: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour Schedule: 8 hour shift Day shift Weekend availability Supplemental Pay: Bonus pay Work Location: Multiple Locations
