Two Guitars, Vocalist & Drummer Seeking Bass Player

Craigslist Ad Good afternoon, We are three guys who have previous experience playing in bands and are looking to start something new. We currently have two guitars, drums and vocals covered. All we're missing is a bass player. Our musical interests include: 80s New Wave (Tears for Fears, Echo and the Bunny Men, Police, Genesis, Peter Gabriel, INXS), 90s Grunge/Rock (Stone Temple Pilots, Pearl Jam, Screaming Trees, Dave Matthews Band, Gin Blossoms, Radiohead) we also like Classic Rock (Neil Young, Badfinger, The Beatles, The Who) and also off the wall pop songs like "Careless Whisper" and "Break my Stride". We've been known to play some "modern music" including, Vance Joy, Hozier, Interpol to name a few. We like some hard rock music, but aggressive music is not really in our wheelhouse. As far as what we're looking for in a bass player, we need somebody who's capable of rehearsing at least twice a month possibly more. We don't need the world's greatest bass player, but are looking for someone with a functional knowledge of the instrument. We are not in this to become a professional money making machine. We want to work hard and sound as good as possible, but money is not the driving factor for this. We want to enjoy playing music together. We would love if you can sing, but that is not a requirement. We are an alcohol friendly band, but drinking is not an integral part of rehearsals. We have space in Livonia where we can rehearse.
