PARK SLOPE, BROOKLYN — A jewelry snatcher is ripping necklaces from women on the subway in Brooklyn, according to police. Cops released photos Thursday of a man who they say has snatched at least three $1,000 necklaces from women riding the subway in the borough. The first time, the man snatched a necklace from a 57-year-old woman who was riding the F train near Bergen Street around 1:30 p.m. on Oct. 19. He got off the train as the doors closed, police said. A few days later, on Oct. 24, the same man ripped a necklace from a 16-year-old girl who was riding the F train near Seventh Avenue station. He again got off the train as the doors closed, police said. The third time, the man grabbed a necklace from a 31-year-old woman who was riding the R train near Union Street station on Oct. 27. Again, he got off the train as the doors closed, police said. None of the women were injured from the robberies. Their necklaces were all valued between $1,000 and $1,100, police said. Police said the man is between 25 and 35 years old. He was caught on surveillance video leaving one of the stations.
