Newport News premier manufactured home community is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team! We are seeking in individual skilled in many areas, or with prior experience in property/real estate maintenance. This is a full-time position and is not seasonal! We are looking for someone who wants to make our company "home." Hours are Monday-Friday 8am-4pm. Our company offers PTO, paid vacation after 1 year, and health insurance. We provide all equipment and materials, company vehicle for use when on property and company phone.
What you can expect to do in this role:
* Perform maintenance repairs throughout the property including the community office, maintenance shop, pool area, common areas, residents’ lots and rental units.
* Maintain the grounds
* Utilize skills in the following areas: carpentry, plumbing (residential and commercial), drywall, painting, electrical, flooring, small engine repair, heavy equipment operation, pool maintenance, grounds maintenance, light pothole repair, appliances, etc.
* Complete inspections of rental units as well as water meter readings every three (3) months
* Required "on call" as needed for resident emergencies
