Description
Medical foster needed- euthanasia tomorrow I’m throwing a Hail Mary to save a dog at high risk of euthanasia. She is scheduled to be euthanized tomorrow. She is a large mastiff mix about 80 pounds and is a senior. She has incontinence she’s being treated for which is why she would need someone ready for that. KC pet project is full and with the incontinence, and her not sheltering well they have scheduled euthanasia. She can’t be in a home with other pets or dogs. I know this is a long shot but she is a great dog and I’ve included a bio below. She could be released to a foster situation and it would be through a different rescue willing to take her on if we can find a foster. There is also an organization that could work with the foster on the behavioral challenges as well (doesn’t get along with some other dogs). We just need to find a foster that is local to KC for that. CHASE BIO I wish everyone could feel the type of love we’ve known since we found Chase. She has truly blossomed in the few months we’ve known her. I have no doubt she will continue to do so in her new home. Chase may be about 7 years old, but she is quite spunky most days! She loves grabbing a toy and bringing it to you first thing in the morning. Depending on how happy she is, you may even get two at once! She gets the zoomies every once in a while and it’s so funny as she bounds around the yard; truly loving a little freedom and letting her puppy side show. Her other hobbies and interests include car rides with the windows down, sunbathing, walks around the neighborhood, and napping on the couch. Chase has two true loves in her life- her people and food, in that order. When I have her she follows me around everywhere I go, curious about what activities we are doing that day and hoping for a pet or two. Or a million pets; she will accept all the affection you are willing to give. If you’re unsure that she has received enough attention, trust me she will tell you! She loves surprising her people by going between their legs from behind and staring up into your eyes. It is quite endearing and one of my favorite things she does. She is also accepting of hugs, kisses, and belly rubs once she feels comfortable. I’ve seen her do a full somersault to get into prime belly rub position! Overall, she is a 10/10 snuggler. Chase has definitely had some training in her time! She knows sit, lay down, come, stay, through, and walks well on a leash. She is also house trained and seems embarrassed when she finds a piddle spot from the incontinence. She is gentle taking treats and has done well in the bath, especially if peanut butter is involved. She is very much food driven which could be an advantage for any new training endeavors. Whoever is fortunate enough to give Chase her forever home will get to experience the loving and goofy Chase we have come to know. She is a big sweet heart with a lot of love to give and it’s such an honor to see that side of her. She deserves the chance to be able to share her love with her forever family. I wish our situation would allow us to give her that chance, but I’m forever honored to be loved and trusted by her even if its for a short time.
