SAFETY HARBOR, FL — Pinellas County detectives are investigating a mobile home fire in Safety Harbor on Sunday which resulted in the death of a 68-year-old woman. A release from the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office says a neighbor called 911 around 6:30 p.m. on Sunday after having noticed the fire at 3432 State Rd. 580, in the Bays End Manor Mobile Home Park. The home was fully engulfed and later declared a total loss. The damage was contained to that lot. Firefighters doused the blaze and searched the home to find Donna Spradley, who was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead at 7:20 p.m. While detectives from the arson and homicide units are investigating the cause of fire, authorities say they have no reason to believe the fire was suspicious in nature. Authorities say that power to the residence had been disconnected, and that Spradley was known to use candles to light her home.
