Currently, we are searching for motivated, reliable, and professional individuals to fill the Water Damage Technician positions in the Orange County area and more! JOB SUMMARY The Water Damage Technician team member is responsible for responding to scheduled or emergency service calls from clients experiencing water problems, such as, floods, water intrusion, broken pipes, or leaks. The technician will also test for moisture, remove water or mold damaged materials, setup containment areas when required, and restore the damaged areas on residential properties. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES - Water extraction & removal of water damaged material. - Setup and monitor drying equipment. - Application of antimicrobial products. - Conduct moisture tests & readings. - Assist with minor demolition or tear downs. - Carpet cleaning. - Relay carpet & pad. - Completing all items on punch or checklists provided by the builder and Crownco Inc. - Inspecting, identifying and documenting water intrusion damage. - Maintaining a professional & clean work space. - Maintain proper use of personal protection equipment (PPE). - Ability to setup containment areas. - Ability to setup negative air equipment. - Follow IICRC S500 & S520 protocol for water and mold restoration. - Final clean documentation prior to air clearance sampling. - Perform other duties not listed. QUALIFICATIONS - High school diploma or GED preferred, or will accept equivalent work experience. - Strong communication skills. - Ability to use basic hand and power tools. - Minimum 1-years hands on construction experience. - IICRC certified is a PLUS! - Detail oriented, reliable, & dependable (time management/punctuality). - Follow directions from a supervisor & on-call manager. - Team player and ability to follow Crownco's Warranty 6-Step and emergency service procedures. - Valid driver's license and auto insurance. - Reliable transportation to and from work. - Ability to successfully pass pre-employment drug screening & background check. - Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (Crownco participates in E-Verify). PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS - Ability to work full-time in the outside elements (heat & cold). - Ability to climb stairs, scaffolding, ladders, bend, stoop, crawl, squat, reach and move 6+ hours at a time. - Ability to lift, move, and/or carry items which may be in excess of 50 lbs. - Finger dexterity and mobility to walk on uneven terrain.
