We found our new vocalist, now we need a Drummer! My Siamese Twin, Portland's premiere New Wave & Alternative 80's cover/tribute band, is looking for a drummer. We are an established, working band that has played in Portland and surrounding areas for the last 7 years. We play covers from bands such as The Cure, The Smiths / Morrissey, The Church, Echo and the Bunnymen, Joy Division / New Order, Depeche Mode, Psychedelic Furs, The Cult, early U2, English Beat, INXS, Tears for Fears, Duran Duran, The Police and many more. US: Vocals, Guitars, Bass and Keyboards with 25+ years of stage and studio experience with a passion to play covers from the golden age of alternative music. We have pro gear, pro attitudes and work ethics, but we like to have fun too! We have formed a niche in the new wave, alt 80's Portland scene and we mostly book bigger club shows, outdoor festivals and private events. We currently have shows booked through the end of the year. We try to rehearse once a week and gig at least once a month. Booking shows is not a problem as we have established an excellent relationship with club owners, booking agents and other bands. We are ego and drama free, those that respond should be too. We have a rent-free practice space in Portland complete with PA and a full drum set. We are all vaccinated/boosted. YOU: This is not a position suited for beginners, novice or intermediate drummers. You should be a well-seasoned, advanced to expert drummer with years of experience and should be comfortable playing in the style of the bands listed above. If you have vocal capabilities, that would be a plus, but not required. Please be able to play to a click and have a steady meter with solid drumming skills. If you can nail the Stewart Copeland thing, all the better. You will get paid for every show! We are looking for a drummer that’s intimately familiar with the new wave / alternative 80's culture and the bands listed above. The ideal candidate will be an energetic, fit, well dressed individual with a youthful appearance roughly between the ages of 40-55. However, age is not as important as talent, skill and experience. Musical and friendship chemistry are important to us, no egos or drama please. Also, we ask that you have good communication skills and no alcohol/drug dependency issues.
