Description

You're not facing the reality which is we need more fossil fuels right now and the foreseeable future, no amount of cutting back will solve that and be practicable at the same time. It's not as simple as staying close to home all the time, walking more or riding a bike. We've seen what the decrease of oil supplies have caused to happen, mainly high levels of inflation pushing us towards another recession. With the fossil fuels abundance we have available to us all that's necessary is allowing more production until such a time that renewable energy can replace it. Both can coexist simultaneously it can't be an either or, no reason to suffer when the solution is in front of us. During Donald Trump's last year in office, the U.S. imported 7.9 million of barrels of oil from the Middle East and Russia every single day. The Keystone pipeline has not been completed and has never delivered a single drop of oil. If the pipeline ever is completed it will deliver/import oil from Canada to America. America was not energy independent for a single day while Trump (or any president for that matter) was in office. Energy independence means that Americans must use LESS oil than we produce domestically in any given day. Increased American production along with decreased American consumption is the answer to energy independence. This means Trump had a strong case for wanting to increase American oil production. It also means that Joe Biden has a strong case for wan ting to decrease American oil consumption.
