BAYVILLE, NY — A teen bicyclist was hit by a pickup truck in Bayville and airlifted to a hospital. According to detectives, a 15-year-old girl was riding a bicycle when she was hit by a 2020 Dodge Ram truck on Bayville Avenue, near Dickerson Avenue around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday. The bicyclist suffered head trauma and was flown by a Nassau County police helicopter to a hospital. She was in stable condition, officials said. The driver, a 22-year-old man, remained at the crash. His vehicle's brake and safety were checked. An investigation remains ongoing.
