OYSTER BAY, NY — The Oyster Bay-East-Norwich Central School District Superintendent is reminding parents of measures the district is taking regarding COVID-19, known as the coronavirus, in a Feb. 28 letter to parents and guardians. Superintendent Laura Seinfeld said that the district is cleansing and sanitizing every building and staff is regularly cleaning "frequently touched surfaces" like door handles, emergency exits, phones, light switches, shared technology devices, and all common-area surfaces. Administrators will coordinate with other school districts to ensure consistency. "Once again, our main concern is the health and safety of our entire school community. That being said, we are committed to providing you with updates and precautionary actions from our government agencies as new information emerges," Seinfeld said in the letter. Read the letter here.
