Full-time, permanent beekeeper positions available at Kona Queen Hawaii on Napo’opo’o Road in Captain Cook. Seeking experienced beekeepers but also willing to train reliable persons with good work ethics.
Competitive pay and excellent benefits are offered for full-time, long-term employment. Valid driver's license and clean driving history required. Must be able to lift 30 - 60 pounds at times.
Daily Tasks May Include
• Maintaining Beehives
o Feeding, Pulling Honey, Treating for Pests and Diseases as Needed
• Maintaining Bee Yards
o Trimming / spraying vegetation, etc.
• Catching Queens (sitting, bending, crouching)
• Honey Extracting
All beekeepers may be asked to perform other tasks as needed. Work schedule is generally Monday through Friday from 7am - 4pm with occasional longer days and weekends as the season dictates.
Salary commensurate with experience: Qualified candidates will start at $17/ hour. Experienced beekeepers may start at a higher rate. Performance-based raises and growth within the company are available for qualified candidates.
