Upcycling for over 17 years as a way to embody healing / mending the traumatic experiences associated with living in a woman’s body : from being objectified, to being overly marketed to, ageism, sexism, & racism in the fashion industry, etc; she has found a community of activism through the work that drives her forward. . Rose experienced health issues as a production seamstress creating outdoor garments from recycled polyester fleece in her homevalley of Leadville, Colorado, & has since become an advocate for garment workers’ rights and eliminating synthetic microplastic polluting fabrics entirely (Fibershed is the way!). She has years of experience as a Tailor in Vail, Aspen, & the surrounding resorts altering European couture & luxury ski wear.
