Join us for our first live Fermenting Ideas talk in over two years and learn about upcoming oak restoration at Thurston Hills Natural Area. Join us for our first live Fermenting Ideas talk in over two years! Our Restoration Projects Manager, Ka-Voka Jackson, will be joined by Natural Resource Planner at Willamalane Park and Recreation District, Fraser MacDonald at the Dorris Ranch Barn. They will talk about why oak restoration is needed at Thurston Hills Natural Area, our past project there, and our plans for upcoming restoration. At the end of the talk, we will take a short walk into Dorris Ranch to explore a past oak restoration site at the park. Our experts will be on hand to explain how restoration like this works in an active park and how the habitat has responded after the restoration.
