PATCHOGUE, NY — Residents in the Patchogue-Medford School District will head to the polls on next Tuesday to cast their ballots for a proposed $123,273,681 spending plan for the 2022-23 school year and to elect two school board trustees. The proposed spending plan represents a $12,246,707, or roughly six percent, spending increase over the current year and it comes with a $4,144,427, or 3.48 percent, hike in the school tax levy. Two seats are also up for grabs on the Patchogue-Medford Board of Education. Incumbent Thomas Donofrio, and newcomer, Francis Salazaar, are running unopposed. The terms will run from July 1, 2022, through June 30, 2025.
