POLK COUNTY, FL — East Polk Parkway lanes have reopened as of 4:45 p.m., according to Florida 5-1-1. Original Patch Story: All lanes on Polk Parkway East just before mile marker 16 are blocked because of obstruction on the roadway, Florida 5-1-1 reported. According to officials, the Florida Highway Patrol has been directing vehicles onto the shoulder with orange cones as of 4:10 p.m. If you are headed in this direction, expect delays.
