BROOKLINE, MA — A Brockton man is accused of flashing a gun at a vehicle with three women and two children inside during a road rage incident in Brookline Friday night, said the Brookline Police Department. Police said the incident took place around 9:25 p.m. on Beacon Street near Englewood Avenue. An investigation determined that the vehicle was registered to a Brockton resident and nearby police departments were notified to be on the lookout. The 38-year-old driver was taken into custody around 2:40 a.m. near Harrison Avenue in Boston. The vehicle was towed to Brookline police headquarters and a search warrant was requested and issued, which resulted in the recovery of a police ASP, pellet gun, and loaded firearm. The suspect is facing several charges, including three counts of assault by means of a dangerous weapon, illegal possession of a large-capacity firearm, illegal possession of ammunition, possession of a firearm without a license, and possession of a large capacity feeding device. He is due to be arraigned on Monday in Brookline District Court.
