PDW is looking for full time experienced technicians to support our customer with the development of autonomous vehicle hardware and software. This Fleet Service Technician Associate position is based out of Miami, FL. and currently offers an AM Day shift! What you'll do: Each day you will be on-site at a terminal, surrounded by the latest technology and executing on mission-critical activities to ensure safety and performance of our autonomous vehicles. Don't worry, we will give you the proper training to succeed in each task. Lunch is provided too! • Inspecting vehicles to determine wear and extent of damage or malfunctions • Testing and adjusting repaired systems to meet manufacturers' performance specifications • Testing components and systems, using diagnostic equipment • Executing repairs and updates to vehicles including hardware and software • Scheduling vehicles for service, receiving vehicle information and following all prescribed documentation procedures • Estimating the time needed to do the repair, taking into account the vehicles schedule • Handling vehicle complaints and maintaining high engineer and operator satisfaction standards • Conferring with engineers, test specialists and operators to obtain descriptions of vehicle problems, and to discuss the work to be performed and future repair requirements Shift Schedule: • AM Shift: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Monday thru Friday) • Must be flexible to work 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM shift when needed Retirees and veterans are welcome What we’re looking for: • Must have at least 4 years of experience as an automotive technician • Demonstrate basic understanding of automotive fundamentals • Demonstrate basic diagnostic skills and problem-solving techniques • Proficiency in maintenance and repair items • Maintains and is a champion of a safe working environment • ASE or OEM equivalent training and certifications preferred • Passion for new technology and continuing education • Strong documentation skills • Proper punctuation and grammar • Basic computer skills Bonus Qualifications: • Focusing on the following coursework may be useful to those seeking a career in automotive service: mathematics, computers/electronics, automotive service and technology and courses that teach analytical skills • ASE Master Certification • ASE Advanced Diagnostic (L1) certification • Previous Autonomous Vehicle Experience Benefits: • Overtime When Available • Veteran Friendly Employer • We offer Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance after your 60 days with Performance Driven Workforce • Work with Latest Automotive Technology Performance Driven Workforce is an Equal Opportunity Employer Easy Application Process!
