Join Leah Webb at her 3/4-acre homestead in Brevard, NC for a two hour tour and informational session.
Leah Webb has been gardening for twenty years, studied plant and soil science for seven of those years, and is the author of The Seven Step Homestead, a step-by-step guide to building a homestead (release date January 2023). Her 3/4 acre property hosts expansive flower and vegetable gardens, a small orchard of dwarf fruit trees, a 350 square foot unheated greenhouse, edible perennials, a small flock of chickens, and a paddle of ducks. Her farm dog, a Great Pyrenees mix named Joy, is guaranteed to welcome you with a big bark before nuzzling her way over for some affection.
Leah will show you around her property while sharing all that she's learned about gardening over the past two decades. She uses no dig, no till, deep organic techniques that focus on building the healthiest soil possible. Her practical approach to organic growing demonstrates that people can grow the foods that they love at any scale and with varying levels of commitment.
For Leah, gardening is as much about exploration, self-expression, and creativity as it is about growing healthy foods for her family. Her passion around plants and food is contagious and is sure to inspire your own efforts to grow more food or flowers for health or as a joyful past time.
Space is limited to twenty participants. Send payment to @leah-webb-13 via Venmo with the note "June 18 Garden Tour" to avoid a registration fee.
