Put the Guns Down Life Matters is an event to bring awareness to gun violence and how we can choose better. Come out to our event where we will have live music, children zone, food and fun. This is a free event for all ages. The goal of the Put The Guns Down Festival is to: - Raise awareness of gun and gang violence in Georgia - Provide a positive environment to discuss issues and support anti-gun violence organizations - Promote positive change and dialogue in communities across the country. The Tour will kick-off in Brunswick, GA and travel to other cities with increased gun violence. In each city, we will advocate one day where everyone can come together to promote positive social change. With the involvement and support of City Officials, Community Leaders and the Gang Violence Task Force, we will raise awareness and give a portion of the proceeds in support of local and national organizations. The FREE EVENT will include a live concert with a host of local artists, change agents and organizations for education/awareness, counselors onsite for assistance, vendors, free giveaways and access to the faith community for counseling.
