Press release from Black Hawk College: May 5, 2022 Two Black Hawk College honor societies recently hosted a joint, in-person induction ceremony for their respective new members. Psi Beta is the national honor society in psychology for community colleges, and Sigma Kappa Delta is the English honor society for two-year colleges. The inductees come from both Black Hawk College campuses. The Psi Beta inductees by hometown are: Carbon Cliff – Latre Sibi Lawson Epse Eklu Koku Davenport – Cori Jo Pullen East Moline – Angela Davidson, Jessica Monroy-Carillo Kewanee – Annette Orwig Moline – Grace Abdiel, Kateri Pfeiffer, Katrina Pfeiffer Rock Island – Senyo Charlotte Awoudi, Rachel Faith Brown, Cristina Vieyra The Sigma Kappa Delta inductees by hometown are: Alpha – Jay Anderson Carbon Cliff – Latre Sibi Lawson Epse Eklu Koku East Moline – Trevor Dwayne Feurt Geneseo – Hannah Staub Kewanee – Corbin Jacob Hodge, Shayla Rae Hufford Rock Island – Ty Culver, Katie Nichole Johnson, Erin Elisabeth Teggatz Tampico – Grace Hannah Lindsey Sigma Kappa Delta inductees have earned an A or B in an English course, have completed at least 12 credit hours, and have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. Students do not have to be English majors. Psi Beta inductees have earned an A or B in a psychology course, have completed at least 12 credit hours, and have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
