Press release from the City of Eden Prairie: May 6, 2022 Eden Prairie Business Survey Debrief Join local business leaders, elected officials and City staff Monday, May 9 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Fat Pants Brewing Co. to hear the results of the most recent business survey. Every few years the City conducts the survey to learn how businesses view Eden Prairie as their place to operate and do business. This free event is hosted by the City and Eden Prairie Chamber of Commerce. Learn more and register. Recycling Curbside Pickup in May Now through May 31, you can recycle appliances, tires, power equipment, electronics, propane tanks, exercise equipment, furniture, mattresses, box springs and more, directly from your curb. The cost is a $35 pickup fee plus the price of the item. The City is covering recycling fees up to the first $10 per household (no cash value). Only Eden Prairie residents are eligible and all items must be free from hazardous substances. Call Certified Recycling at 952-894-1448 to schedule a pickup (not available Saturday or Sunday). Heritage Preservation Award The 2022 Heritage Preservation Award was presented at the May 3 City Council meeting to Steve Olson for his personal efforts to preserve Eden Prairie's heritage. The award recognizes an individual, family or business who has made an outstanding contribution to the preservation, rehabilitation, restoration and use of Eden Prairie's heritage resources. Olson served on the Heritage Preservation Commission for nine years beginning in 2012, acting as Commission Chair from 2015-2021. Learn more about Steve's recognition.
