EASTPOINTE, MI — Two people were shot Sunday morning at an Eastpointe bar during an argument over a woman, the Macomb Daily reported, citing police. One person was struck in the groin area, while the second was hit in the buttocks, police said. Both were taken to a nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries, the report said. Police said an argument broke out inside the Ray's Boom Boom Room in Eastpointe, located on Gratiot Avenue near Toepfer Road, when people began pushing and shoving each other at 1 a.m. That's when police said someone pulled out a gun and shot the two people, the report said. "Apparently, there was an argument over a woman and one of the patrons pushed another," Eastpointe Public Safety Director George Rouhib told the outlet. "That's when an unidentified man pulled out a gun and shot the two people." Police did not release a description of the shooter, who ran out of the bar during the uproar following the shooting, the report said. No other arrests were made by police.
