ALAMEDA, CA — A 29-year-old Oakland man was arrested last week in connection with gun shots reportedly fired October 2021 along Santa Clara Avenue, according to the Alameda Police Department. At the time, officers reported multiple, expended shell casings in the road, purportedly after several shots were fired into the air following an altercation, the agency said. No injuries were reported. Last week, after an investigation with the Oakland Police Department, the suspect was identified and taken into custody without incident. Execution of a search warrant also turned up evidence connecting the person to the crime, the agency said. The gunfire was reported Friday, Oct. 15 around 11 p.m. on the 2400 block of Santa Clara. "While we are fortunate no one was harmed, this act could have injured innocent bystanders," Alameda police said. "We are proud of the thoroughness and detailed follow-up put forth by our officers, detectives, the community and other law enforcement agencies." This arrest follows another made last week in a 2021 shooting of a house near Encinal and Park avenues. A 23-year-old San Mateo man was booked on suspicion of shooting multiple times at a residence, authorities said. ------- ALSO SEE: Armed Driver Hits Woman, Yanks Her In Car, Pulled Over, Arrested: UCPDAlameda Applebee's Offers Freebie To Nurses & Teachers3 Injured Monday In Alameda House FirePair Sitting In Car Shot At Thursday In Union CityFormer SL Police Chief & Assistant Sheriff Robert J.P.
